City Park – Nairobi

image

This podium at the centre of City park is it’s landmark!

image

It is the closest of Nairobi’s parks with indegenous forests to Nairobi CBD, and offers a few surprises like an Aloe over 15metres tall and this Royal palm tree that’s over 30metres tall!  (Said to be the countries tallest palm).

image

It also is the monkey’s park in Nairobi. Would you like a photo session with a live monkey on your shoulder?

image

It is also a great place to take large groups of children who want space to play! This may include ‘The maze’ where children can compete who will find the fastest way out of the maze.

Bird photography at Konza

Here’s one of those rare dryland weaver’s ‘Red headed Weaver’ preparing for the long rains. Being able to get close enough to shoot with a phone camera at Konza Ranch is an indication of the serenity of the region, how long fauna has stayed without human disturbance.
Question was how to create an image with a grey sky background.
